Western 1924 Luxury Lofts

A wonderful place to stay near the BBQ Capital of Texas.

Pros: The Loft we stayed in, Skylark was outstanding. Everything was very clean and fashionable design. The loft was well-appointed and had everything you would need for a night, a week, or a month. One good bar/restaurant is very close by and another one is being remodeled. But you are only 6/7 miles from San Marcos and 10/11 miles from Lockhart with lots of great restaurants. These are wonderful luxury lofts in a restful quiet town.

Cons: The light that stayed on in the laundry room.

Great location, cool little town, immaculate property

Pros: Location is perfect for floating the river or going to the Texas State Campus. It's easy to park and we felt safe at night. The restaurant/bar and shops all close early on Sundays and were closed all the days we were there so it was extremely quiet. The decor, bed and linen quality and cleanliness are excellent. We've stayed here several times and would stay again.

Cons: Whatever they've done with the AC - it was 80 degrees when we arrived and took a good 2 hours to become comfortable, everything nearby was closed so nowhere to go. Not ideal after a 4 hour drive in the heat. The host can control it with their phone and should ask when you're coming and cool it down.

Pros: The decor and staging of the ‘Skylark’ property was modern, warm and inviting! I loved the fact that there was a place downstairs that had a bar, pool table & even a Photo Booth! There’s a playground outback for the littles and drinks inside for the grownups! The food offered there was not costly but definitely yummy!

Cons: I would like to say the cost was too high, but I could imagine that a beautiful home away from home place like this would be on one hell of a waitlist and barely accessible…

Pros: Very modern and very clean. Easy to access and love the restaurant below. Just minutes out of the way from the San Marcos, but it is a quiet town. Will return.

Pros: Beautiful new place and looks as advertised. Lots of room, clean and everything you could need.

Cons: The bar below has very very loud music, so loud and it vibrates everything in the place. It was thankfully only Saturday night that it went till 1am. There is also no deadbolt or extra lock on the door other then the keypad entry. I was staying alone and an extra feeling of security would have been nice. There is also nothing in this area. The one bar below and coffee shop is all you have unless you drive 20min away.

Pros: El. Loft esta prácticamente impecable, me fascino el diseño, muebles, cocina, baño, camas TODO, las colchas y almohadas son de lo mas confortable posible, descansamos como nunca, definitivo volveria a hospedarme

Cons: El bar de abajo... cuando toca se escucha un poco fuerte, solo. Fue el. Viernes y hasta las 12, sin embargo una vez acostados es sumamente facil descansar en esas camas

Unexpected 5 star stay in a small town

Pros: Everything was clean and new. The bed was very comfortable.

Cute and comfortable and conveniently located to San Marcos. Mgmt made it very easy to remote check in and out.

Pros: Adorable decor and style. Clean. Comfortable. Trendy. Great location to San Marcos.

Cons: Band downstairs on Sat night loud but didn’t go too late. Price is high but value is there.
