Great place to get away from the city hustle and bustle.
Pros: Very peaceful and quiet, with great room and facilities. Very clean and with great decor. Excellent breakfast!

Fabulous stay in a beautiful area
Pros: We have stayed previously and revisited for my son’s vow renewal weekend, arriving a couple of days early and staying in a modern, hillside room. Lovely breakfast delivered each morning and great location.
Cons: Following the stay on the hillside we moved into the large house down the hill to share with family, number 1, which was fabulous but WiFi here was an issue. This caused a few problems as we needed it to sort a few things out at home and a couple of people in our group needed to work. While staying In the hillside room WiFi was perfect.

Beautiful location and cabins. Highly recommended
Pros: View, tranquility, porch area with rocking chairs, the hospitality and responsiveness of the hosts when we had issues, the old world vibe, access to bbq
Cons: Door and access to the second floor was difficult due to heavy rain and door expanding so we couldn't getting our upstairs accommodation. However hosts helped resolve. No access to Netflix - boxes were not connecting for streaming channels.

Perfect stay in the middle of nature
Pros: Our stay was just perfect. The check-in as well as the check-out went smoothly. The cottage was spotless and it was equipped well. The view from our back porch was stunning and the Enchanted Rock was only a few minutes away by car. The staff provided a nutritious and balanced breakfast every morning so we had a great start into the day. If you‘re interested in good vine there is a vineyard called „Prochnow“ near the Contigo Ranch. They offer great wines for a romantic evening back at the Ranch.

Comfortable, memorable, but lacking in hospitality and friendliness.
Pros: Our cabin was spotless, modern, in a quiet country location (which we wanted). Internet, once we were in our cabin, was sufficient for our purposes, breakfasts were delivered to our doorstep each morning. Hot water in the bathroom at all times. The cattle on the ranch were amazing, giving us great photo opportunities.
Cons: We had a terrible experience on arriving at the ranch late afternoon. The ranch was totally deserted. It was clear that we were the only guests staying as our car was the only car there. There was no reception. There was no one to talk to. The digital code given for our cabin did not work. We had no phone signal and no internet. In frustration we drove back towards Fredericksburg for about 10 miles until we acquired a weak phone signal. We rang several times to the ranch but had to leave messages as no one answered. We drove back to the ranch to attempt entry again, to no avail. By this time it was very dark and we could see no alternative but to drive back to Fredericksburg to try to find a hotel. As we started to drive away one of our phones rang. Ranch management asked what our problem was and had to provide us with an emergency code to get into our cabin. We were at the ranch for 3 nights and never saw a single soul from the ranch. No one came to ask if we were ok and no one called to ask. When we left, we contacted the ranch to say we were checking out and the person we spoke to was quite unaware of the problems we’d had. We had quite hoped to chat to other guests during our stay…but, alas, we were the only guests for our whole stay. We were quite shaken by our experience on arrival, which somewhat cast a shadow on our stay, which otherwise was outstanding.

Amazing place to combine a small city break, wine tastings and hikes!
Pros: The ranch is beautiful, very well maintained and located perfect. Close enough to Fredericksburg, but also far away enough to enjoy peace and quiet and of course the beautiful stars at night. Also it's close to enchanted rock, with is a great place for hikes and really worth a visit. There are a lot of nice wineries close by, so we had a great time!
Cons: The breakfast wasn't bad, but we would have preferred something a little less rich and a little more healthy. Pigs in a blanket and biscuits a breakfast sausage is nice, but yoghurt, granola and some fruit would have been our preference. We are early risers, so 8.30 for breakfast delivery was very late for us. Never the less it was good and the lady who brought it was very friendly.
