The house on Crockett just added to the overall charm of Fredericksburg by providing a historic feel and homey vibe.

Pros: The location to downtown was perfect. This charming house made us feel right at home.

Cons: The stairs are very narrow and steep. The thick carpet made them feel a bit unsafe.

Property was close to the main street in town for shops and sightseeing and only 11 min walk to HEB.

Pros: We called and got the door code. It was sent to me, but I didn't see it at first. Very nice and friendly.

Cons: the ac was not on when we arrived and it was 84 degrees inside the house. It took a little while to cool down. That is really my only complaint. Loved the character and overall feel of the house and yard.

We did have a great time spending time with our daughters and their friends. LOVE the huge couch!!

Pros: The location was great!!! Very comfortable home with a great yard!

Cons: You cleaning fee is almost higher than your rental fee for a night. This cleaning fees is out of control everywhere and needs to be looked at. We all get our homes cleaned and know what the rate should be.

GREAT choice for Fredericksburg!

Pros: Great beds, big back fenced yard with covered patio and fireplace, great water pressure and hot water, location very good, had hair dryer and general toiletries, easy instructions for entry, plenty of space inside, and decor very nice. As the ice maker did not work, it was great to have a bit of bagged ice in the freezer when we arrived - not sure if this was left from prior tenant or was provided for us. Having ice available should be a priority, so if the ice maker is not fixed make sure bagged ice is there. Easy and responsive communication with location prior to arrival which made check in very easy.

Cons: Downstairs shower floor VERY slick. Needs some type grips or something - not safe! Took us some time to realize the outdoor fan had a remote inside to control it. Maybe a note on the outside fan switch to saying the remote is inside would be nice. While the backyard is very nice, it definitely needs some maintenance. A city map or suggestions for restaurants or things to do could be a plus. Leave an extra large bag for trash in the cabinet rather than under the current trash bag in the can. We could not find one when the trash got full. (NOTE: Stairs narrow and steep, BUT this was included in the description, so should not be a surprise.) All minor comments -no big issues at all (other than the slick shower floor).
