Ark Bunkhouse Fredericksburg Hideaway with Hot Tub

Pros: We had a fantastic stay at this charming cabin in Fredericksburg! Mike, the host, was absolutely brilliant—welcoming, attentive, and full of great local recommendations. The location was perfect—close enough to town for easy access to shops and restaurants but far enough to enjoy the peaceful beauty of the ranch. The serenity, starry nights, and cozy atmosphere made it a truly relaxing getaway. We can’t wait to come back!

We enjoyed our stay. The property contact Michael was attentive and helpful.

Pros: The Ark location was rural and quiet. Codes were provided as the location was gated. There was a key pad code provided in lieu of a key. Breakfast was not included.

Cons: The restroom and bedroom were on two separate floors.

Pros: Love the location. Deer watching off the back porch was relaxing in the evening. Enjoyed the hot tub.

Cons: The property was wonderful. The mattress on the bed was comfortable but should be replaced soon. It is starting to develop a hole on the left side.

We stayed here 23 years ago for our anniversary and returned for the weekend and it was as beautiful now as it was back

Pros: This is the most beautiful, peaceful place to stay.

Well taken care of escape from city life with a hot tub and great host.

Pros: The setting and proximity to Fredricksburg while feeling away from it all. Michael the host was very available for any questions or requests. Turkeys and chickens were fun to have around. Stargazing from the hot tub late at night.

Cons: There is no stove or hot plate but there is a microwave and dishware. This is noted in the listing but I missed it, so pack appropriate food if you plan on having a meal there.

Great property close to downtown offering the quiet and seclusion of the country.

Pros: We loved the location, setup, and ease of communicating with the property contact. Close to downtown with the seclusion and quiet desired. Nicely decorated and clean property. Loved having the kitchen set up upstairs, almost like a breakfast in bed.

Cons: Wish there was a small tv upstairs.

Pros: Mike is an absolute delight and the property is immaculate. Plenty of linens, wine upon arrival, and Geronimo was a welcome surprise. VIP service from check in to check out. This is a hidden gem. Bed was very comfortable, plenty of pillows, plenty of towels, spacious. Very clean.

Host was wonderful even gave us a bottle of wine to welcome us to the cabin will definitely be going again

Pros: Quite luxurious comfortable close to everything but just outside of town to get away from all the hustle and bustle so you can relax in perfect peace

Pros: Location was great! Yes, you’re near owner’s own home, but wouldn’t even know it! Quiet, enjoyable stay for our honeymoon. The antique decor was something we really loved! Enjoyed the hot tub! Mike did indeed make us feel special. Thank you, Mike!!

Cons: Didn’t bother us, but yes, bathroom is downstairs. Just be sure and read descriptions!
