The Perch- Texas Tiny Haus with amazing views

Little paradise

Pros: The place was amazing and had everything you need. The view is stunning, great sunrise and sunset. So relaxing, and close to everything's we wanted to visit.

Cons: I wish I could stay longer.

Perfect weekend getaway.

Pros: The view was spectacular in the morning and again in the evening. We got to see some wildlife ( deer) roaming not more than 10 yds from the porch where we were enjoying the morning coffee. Will be back hopefully again and again.

Cons: The fact the we had to come back home to reality. A weekend isn't enough time. Need to plan more a few extra days next time.

It was the perfect getaway for my fiancé and I. We will be back.

Pros: Loved the front porch, the seclusion and the view. We enjoyed watching the sunrise.

Cons: The television could have been a little larger with more options to watch movies.

Overall it's a beautiful place and I highly recommend it for couples or for families with children.

Pros: I loved the location of this place! It's near many shops and stores, yet you still feel like you're out in the country since you're tucked away. The pond was beautiful, and we spent a good amount of time playing with our pups there.

Cons: The Jacuzzi was a bit of a bummer since it was a blow-up one--so it's just a tub of warm water with no seats on the inside. Also, be warned that using the bubbles on that jacuzzi is a bit chaotic lol. The upstairs part is really uncomfortable for grown adults. My partner and I are in our early 30s and active, but we left with bruises on our knees from crawling so much.

Pros: I love how homey it was and also the view ,we didn't get to enjoy the hot tub due to family emergency but other than that I wouldn't ask for a better place to go for a mini vacay!!

Cons: Nothing everything was fantastic!!!

Will definitely be back soon.

Nice relaxing weekend

Pros: It's great for a quiet weekend, reading books, relaxing and cooking in the firepit. The tub outside is nice. The little pond nearby is also a nice spot to chill. The hosts are kind and polite. There is a HEB near by so it's easy to do some shopping before checking in.

Cons: There is something like a construction site near the house that interrupts the nice view. The bedroom is nice for a couple, the upstairs is very low, just enough to crawl into bed. The kitchen has coffee, salt and pepper, but not much else to do some cooking so would recommend getting yourself some oil, seasoning, BBQ sauce, herbs, etc.

Pros: Pet friendly, amazing views,it was a great little escape from our normal day to day.

Not what we expected, but it was a nice relaxing place away from home.

Pros: I think the location was very nice. The view was mostly beautiful. I loved that we had our own personal hot tub to ourself. As well as our own personal porch with rocking chairs. It was a cute little home away from home. The bed and couch was comfy. The house was mostly cleaned. We appreciated the extra sheets and towels. We also, appreciated the extra slippers, ice inside the freezer and spray for the bathroom. We thought those details were nice. Also, we very glad to see stairs lead up to the top beds and not a scary latter. Made it easier to go up and down the top beds. (Not that they were used but we like the option.) Last but not least, one of the best parts was not being close to the other locations/houses. It really gave us our own sense of privacy.

Cons: The overall place seemed rather small. In the house, the toilet is very close to the sink and it was very hard to sit and go to the bathroom comfortably. When changing, I hit my hands on the ceiling a couple times and I am average height. The upstairs beds were too close to the ceiling. I am claustrophobic so the upstairs scared me. There was not really much to do there. We drove around and the pond looked really green, so we were afraid to go in and swim. The Field of dreams didn’t really have much. We were not able to reach due to the tractor and wheel barrels in the way. Not much but tables and an open field. As far as cleanliness, we felt the couch was rather dirty. It had hair (dog hair?), dirt and stains. The porch paint was peeling away. The hot tub seemed dirty. Maybe because it had rainwater in it. It smelled clean so we gave it a shot. It turned off on us twice. The owners were quick in coming by to fix it. They said they had changed out the filter, but when we saw it, it was dirty. Didn’t really use the hot tub for much, which is what I was most excited about. They did tell us it would take some time to heat up, but I didn’t realize it would take all day and night. Also, on the listing it said a queen bed with two full upstairs. The bed was not a queen and I was really upset about that. Made it hard to sleep at night. The a/c also kept turning off and it was very hot at night. I wish the listing would have told us they only use rain water for showers and everything else. We were not allowed to take long showers. If I would have known, I would have not booked this place. Also it was hard to enjoy the view when to the right of the house you had these huge crates that were blocking the view. I read that you would get to see a beautiful sunset and sunrise, but you couldn’t because the house was facing in the wrong direction. It rained all weekend, so we saw no stars and the porch kept getting wet so we could not sit outside much to enjoy the view.

You won't regret this stay!

Pros: I absolutely loved this little slice of heaven. The view from perch haus was fantastic! I even got lucky and caught a thunderstorm while I was there. Easy to find location with the directions given by the hosts. Gorgeous well kept property. I enjoyed the little touches that the host have put in such as dog treats on the counter because they knew my pups were coming And a handwritten welcome note. I've been to many airbnbs but this one definitely made you feel at home. The hosts are beyond accommodating and so kind and thoughtful! Will definitely be back to this location!

Cons: That I had to leave and go back to reality. 😆
