Pros: We stayed as a group of two adults, a two year old and a one year old, and it was absolutely perfect for our family. My two year old especially loved putting out the deer feed each day and watching the deer and even one of the cows come right up to us, close enough to touch as they ate. It was genuinely magical. Every morning we woke up to deer standing just outside our front door, which felt like something from a storybook. The property itself is rustic, charming and wonderfully peaceful. The photos do not do it justice at all. The bed was incredibly comfortable, beautifully carved from wood and set very high. It felt like something from Goldilocks and the Three Bears, which added to the charm. I was torn between booking this property and a place in town, and I am so pleased that I chose this one. It offered a unique and memorable experience for the children and for us. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for something special.

Cons: Absolutely nothing, this place was perfect and we hope to visit again.

Cons: The check-in office is about 10km away from the actual cottage. Not stated on booking The inside of the cottage is very outdated; spa bathtub is all yellowy like an ‘80’s pc. Same for the airco, both have seen better days and should have been replaced 10 years ago Water was lukewarm, shower fixture was broken. Had to shower in adjacent cottage Mattress was sagging in the middle Nice place but needs new management and fresh capital for needed improvements and maintenance. Once done, this place has lots of fresh potential

Pros: Great presentation and facilities. Very well done in terms of making it feel authentic The US doesn’t do quiet. Almost Everything has to have noise. This doesn’t. It’s tranquil and a peaceful break from constant kerfuffle Far better than staying in town and dealing with traffic and hubbub

A beautiful ranch to which I would gladly return!

Pros: Incredible location surrounded by nature just a few minutes drive from Fredericksburg. The cottage was huge and the staff are helpful and very clear when checking in, but at the same time not intrusive (you hardly see them). Much nicer in person than in photos.

Pros: Seeing the Deer and the comfort of the bed was great

Cons: Got lost trying to find it

We went after Thanksgivng and enjoyed our stay so much we plan to come back.

Cons: ADA cottage should have a seat for roll in shower, bed was very high and difficult for mobility impaired to access.

Pros: Quiet location outside the city. Very comfortable cottages. Love the two nights we stayed here. Staff was very accommodating.

Pros: I wanted a cottage in the country type of stay and that’s exactly what we got. You could see the stars at night. Cows in our backyard and deer sightings. Even though you feel away from everything you’re just 10 minutes from the downtown area. It was perfect! Bed was super comfy

Super cool place for a quiet getaway. Close to lots of cool things to do.

Pros: Great area. Very little light pollution to see the stars. Nice room and comfortable bed.

Cons: The room smelled like a cold fire pit. The smell stayed in your nose the whole time. I feared we would smell like a camp fire when we left.
