Excellent location for New Braunfels and especially for Gruene/Gruene hall.

Pros: How old, rustic but clean and great location. Decent facilities and great shop/bar downstairs. Good communication on arrival regards check in. Free bottle of Champagne much appreciated!

Cons: Everything was great

Pretty good.

Pros: It was very loud with traffic noise. Not able to enjoy the beautiful balcony, due to the busy traffic circle. Breakfast and room very nice.

Cons: See above

Pros: Beautiful historical hotel. The location could not have been better. The balcony was spacious and nice on the milder days. The furniture super comfortable and quality. The owner was wonderful. Super friendly and helpful. I can not recommend this enough

Cons: Only issue I had was the confederate pictures. One of the confederate president and one depicting a confederate unit.

Vintage hotel with a large apartment in Historic New Braunfels.

Pros: The breakfast was superb and the wait staff excellent! We loved the downtown location with walking distance from all points of interest.

Cons: Poor lighting in the entrance and staircase. Although the bathroom was dated, it was clean and adequate. However, the shower curtain needs to be replaced.

Historical hotel stay is a hidden gem in New Braunfels

Pros: The downtown location was perfect for walking to the shops, restaurants and the New Braunfels Art League where I took a 3 day workshop. The breakfast vouchers we were given were a nice, generous touch for the coffee shop downstairs. The people that waited on us were wonderful, and the breakfasts offered had a nice variety to them. The room was comfortable, had everything needed for our stay. There's no elevator in this 1850 historic hotel so just be aware. We did fine using the stairs...I didn't even think about that when I booked my reservation and my husband made the best of it. Parking can be limited and have restrictions on the main streets but the hotel offered free parking in a reserved spot behind the hotel. That made things so stress-free and convenient.

Cons: Well, my remodeling business husband did say repairs were needed in our suites bathroom- toilet needed to be leveled and it moves. Shower tub has grout that is cracked, pulling away.

Great historic hotel with good breakfast and brunch

Pros: Neat old property. Very clean. Excellent breakfast and brunch right down stairs. Great location. The hotel staff and cafe staff were very friendly and helpful.

Cons: Was a little noisy at night since it is right on the square (not too bad though). Was quite bright in the morning due to the lack of curtains. Was a bit dated but very clean and still nice. The pull out sleeper sofas were quite uncomfortable for our children.

Pros: Great location. Wonderful management extremely responsive and kind. Went above and beyond.

Cons: The only thing that could have been better was the pillows were very thin and uncomfortable.

Loved the location and space. We will definitely be back!

Pros: The location and space was awesome! The beds were comfy, and the staff was more than accommodating. Thank you for the wine!

Cons: The front parking was scarce and we couldn't find back parking. The shower didn't drain properly, so you end up showering in a puddle. And some of the knicks/cosmetic visuals could use some work.

The buildings has great historic charm. The location was great and the staff were very friendly.

Pros: The location was the best part. There were so many shops, eateries, and entertainment within walking distance.

Cons: The AC did not cool half of the condo making it uncomfortable to sleep. I was not aware that a portable was available until I was leaving.
