Hampton Inn & Suites San Marcos

Pros: Breakfast was ok, pretty typical of restaurant breakfast.

Two nights for the total eclipse

Pros: Location good near main roads and restaurants. Breakfast had a wide selection of food. Staff were helpful as first night we were in a room which faced onto the UPS depot and during the night we were woken by numerous beeping sounds and engines of the trucks reversing into the depot. On the morning we asked reception if there was another room we could be moved to and they moved us straight away. Thank you.

Perfect

Pros: The location was perfect and near to I-35, that helps to move to San Antonio or Austin

Cons: NA. The hotel met our expectative

Our stay was wonderful from beginning to end. Loved the breakfast.

Pros: Located in an area that had everything around it that I needed and close to where we were going

Cons: Nice hotel, clean and well decorated. The staff was very kind and let us check in three hours early so we could take a nap before heading to the football game which was wonderful after driving in early morning.

Pros: Breakfast was great! Room is comfortable and beds are comfortable

Pros: The breakfasts were amazing and having the coffee ready all the time is absolutely perfect for my husband. Beds are comfortable and the room is good. With exception to the smell when you first walk in, this place is really an excellent place to stay for a short trip or vacation. Very relaxing and quiet.

Cons: The smell when I first walked into the lobby was really off putting. It was just almost enough to make me change my mind about staying there. The staff are probably already used to it and no longer notice, but this reallly needs to be changed.
