Comfy, different, and central

Pros: So close to town. Everything walkable. Quirky but comfy. Liked the room.

Cons: Would have gone a 10, except for one reception staff who had no interest in making an effort (all the others were great), and who wanted to charge us 20 dollars for checking out half hour late.

Great for a weekend break!

Pros: *Great location close to the river/restaurants and bars *Staff are friendly and helpful *Room was very spacious and clean

Cons: A touch dated, but perfect for the price compared to other hotels.

Pros: Location couldn't be better for the River walk good sized room great WIFI signal The staff where outstanding in particular Jamie on the front desk when we arrived

Cons: Hotel and rooms could do with a refresh as they are a little tired but clean and comfortable There was an issue with the hotels computer system in that it hadn't registered our booking( seems there was two systems in place) even though we had conformation and payment taken Luckily they had a room free (pure luck as it was a busy weekend) and after a 30 min call to booking .com agent and him calling the hotel Jamie on reception managed to call here manger who logged into the right system and found the booking \

Historic hotel very close to river walk

Pros: Old but historic hotel in an excellent location for river walk and la villita.

Pros: very well located, cute and with nice tarrace and view on the needle

We loved OBriens and its proximity to River walk and Alamo.

Pros: great location and clean well pre3sented accommodation

Don't be put off by previous reviews. We thought it was great.

Pros: Location - 2 minute walk and you are walking along the riverside. Very clean, smelt nice. Not a chain hotel and was quirky. We liked the decor. Although the hotel was super quiet we had to use the paid parking. But was right next door and a multistorey.

Cons: They knew it was our wedding anniversary and my husband's birthday but we didn't even get a little note in the room. I'm not looking for freebies, but a little personal message/touch is the reason we try to avoid chain hotels.

Great little gem of a hotel in a great location.

Pros: Great, amazing location. Big room, nice staff, liked that it wasn't a big chain hotel and that it felt like it had some history.

Cons: The AC unit was very noisy. Also - as it didn't have any overhead lighting, there was about 5-6 floor and table lamps that needed to be turned off and on to see in the room. Made us laugh! Unique though.

A lovely comfortable hotel that isn't a bland chain

Pros: Great location - only minutes walk to the River Walk. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms. We used the hotel parking in the multi storey but it would have been much cheaper to just park opposite the hotel.
