Great location next to The Paramount Theatre. Beautiful, comfortable Room

Pros: Booking upgraded us (due to my level). We were immediately checked into a gorgeous corner suite on the 8th floor with a very cool view.

Cons: One of the main reasons we came was for the heated pool, it didn't work... Called the desk and an engineer came, fiddled around and went to leave. We had to ask him what's up and he said, the heater doesn't work. $15 food credit could actually only be used on \

Pros: The staff were amazing, from the valet guys to check in they were so wonderful to deal with. The rooms were nice and clean and so close to downtown. Beautiful old hotel with some modern touches. Would well recommend this hotel to anyone going to Austin

An awesome hotel in the heart of downtown Austin

Pros: The hotel was excellent. It had fantastic facilities, was spotlessly clean and the staff were beyond helpful. The gym was excellent with a great selection of equipment and a lovely pool. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again without hesitation.

Great value and location for the price

Pros: Great location to Sundance square. Breakfast was great and rooms clean and pool wad open until late which kids enjoyed.

Cozy and central

Perfect stay in the heart of Austin

Pros: Comfy, big rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast, perfect location - I can't see why one would stay anywhere else.

Fantastically comfortable room and hotel to relax in after a busy day.

Pros: The hotel is very welcoming and secure. The room was huge and lovely with a very comfortable king size bed. The vanity area with magnifying mirror and vanity bench seat was an unexpected but a great addition to the bathroom. Everything about the room was good. We had breakfast once in the hotel and it was well prepared with good coffee. We also had dinner in the restaurant one evening which was also wonderful and good value. The upstairs bar was also a great place to sit on the balcony in the evening. I highly recommend this hotel. Everyone who worked there were very friendly and helpful.

Cons: The only negative is really more a comment. We had drinks in the bar upstairs a couple of evenings after returning to the hotel from dinner but were disappointed that they didn't stay open a bit later on the weekend. Yes, you can move to what they call the 'public' balcony but it is not the same. The bar was full the nights we were there and we were not the only ones disappointed with the early closing.

A lovely comfortable hotel in a very central location

Pros: We enjoyed our stay. The location was fabulous in a very safe area. We could walk everywhere - to Terry Black's across the bridge, 6th Ave and the state capitol building. The hotel was lovely and comfortable. The foyer was very welcoming. I would definitely recommend this hotel. The staff were lovely. Very easy to pull up out the front and unpack the car too.

Great location, beautiful hotel

Pros: Great location. Friendly & helpful reception. Beautiful, spacious and well equipped room and bathroom. Gorgeous breakfast with the lovely Douglas welcoming us like old friends and giving us helpful tips.
