Hampton Inn San Antonio Downtown

Near the Riverwalk and with easy access to freeway

Pros: The hotel is located about a 5 minute walk of the riverwalk, with ready access by car to the highway. The property was clean and well-maintained. Our children enjoyed the swimming pool despite baking temperatures outside. The breakfast buffet was standard Hampton Inn fare, with bagels, bread, cereal, fruit, juices, tea and coffee.

Cons: Check-in was rough: the hotel gave us a room with a double bed even though there were four of us and we had booked two double-beds. Fortunately the front desk rectified the error and we enjoyed the rest of our stay.

Would come back

Pros: Location and ability to walk everywhere Parking Washing Machine

Cons: Hotel was abit tired. Lift was extremely old and slow. Breakfast unappealing Didn't clean our room once

Cons: The parking fee is excessive, they should include it in the rate so that expenses can be planned.

Nice Hotel & Great Location

Pros: Staff were very nice and always helpful, the hotel was nice and the rooms comfortable with good aircon. A good breakfast every morning with plenty of room to sit and the hotel is very near the Alamo and the plaza area so its not a long walk into town

Pros: Great price very handy location breakfast included small but well equipped gym outdoor area to catch a few rays and relax. Front of house staff were 1st class friendly helpful and nothing was to much trouble.

Cons: The pool area could do with a once over as it’s a little tired but otherwise everything was great value for money.

Superb location and secure parking made for a great stay

Pros: Fantastic location with easy access from the freeway. Key attractions all in walking distance.

Cons: Pool was sometimes noisy after 10pm and always full of kids

Staying here was enjoyable.

Pros: We were very pleased with this facility’s location to the River Walk, the Alamo and other interesting attractions. The pool was adequate and my grandchildren had a good experience swimming. The attendants were pleasant and helpful.

Cons: We didn’t like paying for parking. But it was gated and evidently necessary to have security.

Well presented hotel close to everything

Pros: The hotel and facilities are run to a high standard. However its all about the city centre location and secure parking Good pool to cool down at the end of the day and good quality breakfast
