Good

Pros: It was a lovely priority and the staff were so kind attentive and friendly Location was so good and close to fabulous restaurants and shopping

Cons: The bed was amazing and so large but the pillows were too soft and did not suit us at all

Pros: We loved our stay! Only issue is, the rooms should have a kettle and coffee machine, that is a very ordinary request for any great hotel room.

Great location on iconic main road

Pros: Lewis at the reception and Ashley at the bar were exceptional. Superb location, very good pool. Would stay there again

The location is superb!

Pros: The location was fantastic, what a cool street and great coffee downstairs too. A bit of a hiccup with check-in, but it was acknowledged and dealt with very professionally.

Cons: The beds are very soft - we understand it is a personal preference. But we really wish it was firmer!

Loved it

Pros: Excellent location and spacious room. Lovely roof top pool area.

Cons: The water never got hot in the shower . Ok for a couple of nights but would of been a problem for a longer stay.

Best hotel ever

Pros: Perfect location. Great set up with excellent cafe bar and restaurant and also speakeasy and coffee shop- possibly one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Decor is beautiful- staff are friendly and helpful. It’s super clean too. Bed is very comfortable and really big. Spacious room and well equipped with everything you need.

On the whole loved staying at the South Congress Hotel. Especially the Pool and hotel location.

Pros: Great location, but knew what to expect as have visited the area before. Helpful staff on arrival. Made use of lounge area as I arrived earlier than check-in time. Room very clean and comfortable. Also close to pool. Loved the pool and used it at least once a day. Good chambermaid service. Despite the very hot weather throughout my stay, loved that the room was quite cool without using AC.

Cons: For this standard of hotel, I felt the maintenance of the room was not up to date. The wooden desk/counter was quite chipped, leather top marked and stitching was worn. Also some paint missing/scratches on the wall by the TV and all the television cabling was messy ... should have been tidied up better. Would also have been good to have some electric sockets at desk level. Disappointed that on check in, it wasn't pointed out that any music/noise from the main area of the hotel is very audible in room 222. Fortunately I am not a light sleeper but I know quite a few people who would have found this annoying. I'm not complaining about the noise, but it should be mentioned to guests when checking in.

Relaxing stay at the South congress hotel

Pros: The hotel had great bar and cafe on the ground floor. There was also a rooftop pool.

Cons: The bedroom lighting was very dark.

Good for short break especially if you want to enjoy a ‘scene’

Pros: Very funky vibe and decor at hotel. The downstairs steak restaurant was very good.

Cons: Better suited for young people than families - non-guests are permitted to use pool so often impossible to get space at the pool on weekends.
