Hotel Valencia Riverwalk

Excellent. Would stay again.

Pros: Room exceeded expectations - think we got an upgrade. Was expecting a King room with normal ensuite bathroom but got a suite! Large room divided into sitting area with sofa and chair, table, coffee table, wardrobe/tv/shelving unit; other side was King bed with mini bar (expensive as all hotels) and bathroom with his/her sinks, and separate bathtub and shower. Perfect for a 3 day stay. Super comfy; everything provided at great standard; view looking down on the terrace and riverwalk. Teracce area perfect for chilling out. Two bars with one that offered coffee and pastries in the morning. Hotel ideal location for exploring San Antonio on foot each day.

Cons: Did not arrive until 1800 and had to wait for our room. Told it was clean but not yet inspected. Waited for at least 15mins but turned out to be worth the wait (see above) Not the hotel's fault but they had had a burst water pipe the week before which meant noisy machines in reception/bar area to remove the damp and wifi was not available in the bedrooms - just the reception/bar/restaurant level. We ate on the terrace on the first night. The waiter was a bit grudging as he showed us to a table outside even though there were people already out there eating. None of the beers on tap were available (frozen pipes?) and they didn't have the bottle I wanted; I was brought a different type without being asked. Parking expensive. We researched in advance and found a nearby, easy walking distance car park (City Tower Parking Garage). Only charged $10 per 24hours instead of $63 per day.

Pros: Breakfast was so good! The cinnamon roll fresh toast was amazing! The staff took excellent care of everything and made sure that we had the best stay.

Pros: From the minute you walk in the smell of the hotel was outstanding. We were upgraded for my birthday. And didn’t k own till we got to the room which was a wonderful surprise and the room was exquisite.all the staff were so friendly

Very nice hotel in a great location of San Antonio, wallet parking provider, near the River walk. We enjoyed our stay.

Pros: Nice location, very nice hotel and comfortable rooms

Cons: All was good except the breakfast support - part of our order was forgotten (drinks), when we asked to be seated in the half empty terrace - we were told it’s busy, but nobody came in the next hour and multiple tables were available, it was odd.

Pros: The location was excellent and room and hotel was very nice.

Cons: The two reception staff were new and could not inform us of the location on the provided map of different venues , but they were very apologetic. No complementary water and the bar was lacking .
